One-Third Lead the Pack

The Forrester Wave: Identity Management and Governance, Q3 2018 names three of the nine solution vendors as Leaders: Sailpoint, Saviynt, and IBM.

Meanwhile, RSA Security, CA Technologies, One Identity, and Omada are all Strong Performers. Micro Focus and Ivanti round out the group as Contenders.

Among the Leaders, Sailpoint receives distinction for its deployment variety and its ease of deployment. Saviynt is praised for its cloud-centric architecture and delivery of identity management and governance as a SaaS solution. IBM is lauded for its separation of duty and role mining.

Simplicity is the Key

Forrester indicates analytics, cloud support, and risk metrics are the key differentiators in the identity management and governance market. Enterprises are increasingly embracing hybrid IT environments and need solutions that help them navigate these architectures. Enterprises also need better event detection, easier user interfaces, and to see their vendors as partners.
