Enterprise identity management solutions provider <\/span>Okta<\/span><\/a> has announced the launch of the Okta Identity Cloud for Security Operations app, created in collaboration with IT service management vendor ServiceNow. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to a <\/span>press release<\/span><\/a>, the Okta Identity Cloud is designed to decrease attacker dwell time and breach containment time, which can take over two months if done through manual processes. It can summarize abnormal or malicious user behaviors, including logins and application use, during a security incident and can offer actionable user controls to speed up resolution time. <\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Okta and ServiceNow\u2019s integration aims to reduce exposure to modern user-related risks; it increases visibility into extended user information to help security teams assess incident severity and take immediate action in response. Security teams can use the app to clear sessions, expire passwords, or enforce multi-factor authentication for individual users quickly and simply. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Frederic Kerrest, COO and co-founder of Okta, said in a statement: \u201cThe IT and security stacks must evolve to meet the needs of modern cloud infrastructure. We\u2019re making Okta Identity Cloud for Security Operations available in the ServiceNow Store to connect identity-driven security with other critical components of a modern cloud infrastructure.The integration will help organizations better address potential threats, save security teams precious time, and reduce overall business risk by identifying and stopping identity incidents across the organization.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n
