Today, identity security and unified access management solution provider OneLogin announced their Winter \u201819 Release. The Winter \u201819 Release provides several updates for OneLogin\u2019s access management solutions for both on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a press release, The Winter \u201819 Release hails the arrival of three new packaged solutions which enable single sign-on for Oracle EBS, Oracle Peoplesoft, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence. In addition, the solutions enable enterprises to deploy multifactor authentication and remote VPN on on-premises applications. <\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, the OneLogin Winter \u201819 Release offers updates including EAP-PEAP\/MSCHAPv2 authentication protocol support and the Device Trust feature. The latter allows enterprises to leverage third-party certificates as a secondary authentication factor. The New Admin Experience, another major update, allows users to delegate administration functionality and define access management via new privilege models. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Venkat Sathyamurthy, CPO at OneLogin, shared his thoughts on the significance of the Winter \u201819 Release updates. “Enterprises are unlikely to become 100% cloud unless they started that way. Hybrid is the reality for majority of the businesses today. What this means is that companies will struggle with the blend of on-premise and cloud app environments that require multiple identity access systems to manage their users.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The OneLogin Updates in Context <\/b><\/h3>\n

At the beginning of 2019, OneLogin announced raising $100 million in a <\/span>Series D funding round<\/span><\/a>. With the funding announcement, OneLogin declared their intention to use the money to \u201caccelerate the adoption of their new product offerings like MFA.\u201d The Winter \u201819 Release appears to fulfill part of that intention. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Gartner named OneLogin to their 2018 Access Management, Worldwide <\/span>Magic Quadrant<\/span><\/a> as a Visionary. They also received recognition in the Gartner <\/span>Access Management Critical Capabilities<\/span><\/a> report and the <\/span>Peer Insights Customers\u2019 Choice<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
