Today, Kony announced enhanced support for applications running on Amazon Web Services and updates to its offerings in the Amazon Web Marketplace. This announcement includes new support for AWS mobile and IoT offerings that can make it more efficient for mobile application developers to build, deploy, and develop on the AWS cloud.
MobileFabric 7 includes a few new highlights for developers, including API Gateway support that allows users to automatically discover and implement API’s hosted on Amazon Web Services. It also includes object services support to aid developers, generate new application models, and map them to back-end service with SAP and Cordova and SAP integrations.
“Enterprises still struggle to realize the value of mobile due to the limitations of mobile app development inefficiencies and lack of scalability,” said Dave Shirk, president of Products, Strategy and Marketing, Kony, Inc. “Kony’s enhanced support for AWS Mobile and IoT offerings helps businesses address this challenge by combining the huge productivity advances of the newest version of Kony MobileFabric 7 with the broad reach and cost-effective scale of the AWS Cloud. It’s an unbeatable combination and value we deliver to our customers. Enterprises can now take advantage of new mobile app back-end development capabilities, which are much faster and cheaper than what was available before.”
“By listing in AWS Marketplace, Kony provides customers with an easier way to quickly access its offerings on the scalable and secure environment of AWS, helping them reduce the complexity of mobile back-end development,” Barry Russell, general manager, Global Business Development, AWS Marketplace and Catalog Services, Amazon Web Services said.
“By providing pre-integrated access to APIs on the AWS Cloud, Kony allows developers to rapidly assemble and build connected mobile and IoT applications for enterprise customers on AWS.”
Kony MobileFabric 7 is currently available to download and install from AWS Marketplace, helping to build Kony’s value proposition while making it attractive for application developers that demand flexibility. Three versions of Kony Mobile Fabric are currently available. This includes a free developer version, and express option with three times as much capacity as the lowest option, and the standard option which is available as an SaaS delivery model.
