42Gears UEM facilitates the configuration of Office 365 email and deployment of Office 365 applications on both corporate-owned and employee-owned mobile devices. Through this integration, IT admins have the ability to define and enforce security policies across all mobile apps and emails.

42Gears UEM’s support for Office 365 works for both cloud and on-premise users. It allows for email configuration on user’s devices, enforcement of updates from the admin portal, and management of permissions. 42Gears UEM can also restrict Office 365 email access to only compliant and managed devices. In addition to this, by leveraging the support provided by Microsoft for Single-Sign-On, users have the ability to log into Office 365 applications suite, as well as other business apps using the same credentials used for enrolling devices to the 42Gears UEM console.

In a press statement, Co-founder and CTO of 42Gears Mobility Systems, Prakash Gupta said, “Office 365 offers effective productivity tools to businesses and enables collaboration within a team. UEM solutions ensure 360-degree data and device security. It’s imperative for organizations to choose a UEM solution that integrates well with the Office 365 suite of applications and allows seamless and secure mobile workspace deployment.”

Deployment of Office 365 applications through 42Gears UEM enforces containerization of the applications using native platform controls provided by operating systems such as iOS, Android, and Windows. The containerization policy prevents users from sharing Office 365 data to personal applications. Additionally, it provides security and data privacy to the user, as well as the business. Through this integration, IT admins will have the ability to use 42Gears UEM’s ‘Wipe’ capability to selectively wipe Office 365 data from devices in the event that they are lost or stolen.
