BlackBerry Releases AI-Powered CylancePROTECT for BlackBerry UEM

Security solutions and services provider BlackBerry today announced the availability of Cylance’s AI-powered endpoint security product CylancePROTECT via BlackBerry UEM. CylancePROTECT is an endpoint security and mobile threat defense (MTD) solution that uses artificial intelligence to protect enterprises against advanced mobile security threats. The solution will be built directly into BlackBerry UEM, meaning users will not have to install third-party installations.
As BlackBerry notes, as the mobile device and solution market grows, so does the mobile security threat landscape. CylancePROTECT provides automated threat detection that helps companies protect their mobile solutions at both the device and application level. CylancePROTECT uses artificial intelligence rather than signatures or behavior analysis to detection threats.
“Today, we have further integrated Cylance’s advanced threat protection with BlackBerry UEM to support organizations in their pursuit of a zero trust environment,” said John Chen, CEO of BlackBerry. “With CylancePROTECT, BlackBerry UEM customers can now manage and secure all of their mobile endpoints across all devices, networks, and applications from a single console.”
Founded in 2012, Cylance has provided cybersecurity solutions that utilize the power of artificial intelligence to help companies address security problems. BlackBerry acquired Cyclance earlier this year to add their AI and machine learning capabilities to their selection of endpoint and mobile security solutions.
