Mocana,\u00a0the corporate app security and connectivity company have created a new company called Blue Cedar Networks<\/a> in order to branch out their mobility management offering and focus on their mobile application management (MAM) and VPN products. This division comes as a result of IoT and EMM going in different directions and the desire for each company to focus on different customers. Blue Cedar will be it’s own independent company and not a subsidiary of Mocana<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s large organizations face the challenge of managing and securing the thousands of physical device endpoints, like laptops, desktops smart phones, wearables, and single-purpose devices, deployed and used throughout the extended enterprise,\u201d said John Aisien, CEO of Blue Cedar Networks. \u201cIn reality, the corporate app \u2014 along with the data it manifests to support business decisions and execute business processes \u2014 is the new endpoint. With Blue Cedar, corporate IT security risk professionals can more easily and transparently adapt their security and mobility strategies to safeguard sensitive corporate apps and data across the extended enterprise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Blue Cedar Networks executive team is comprised of industry veterans with experience across numerous startups and large technology firms. Heading the team is John Aisien, CEO, previously president and COO of Mocana. Aisien brings a wealth of experience as a successful enterprise software go-to-market executive, with stints running marketing and business development functions in both startup and large enterprise software firms. Other members of the team include Kevin Fox, CTO, Jon Mills, vice president of sales, Scott Bonnell, vice president of business development and Ranjeet Vidwans, CMO.<\/p>\n

Blue Cedar launches with more than 150 global customers, including marquee names in major verticals, such as financial services, insurance, manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, government and health care.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe app is now the ideal control point for enterprise data, and it is also the logical point where users in and around the enterprise can interact with this data,\u201d said Matthew Recupito, chief security architect at Zurich Insurance. \u201cWith its Atlas platform, Blue Cedar Networks has staked out a clear position that the app is the logical endpoint that CISOs should protect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Blue Cedar Networks also intends to help customers meet their goals by growing and nurturing the current ecosystem of complementary, category-leading Atlas partners and developers. In addition to a network of reseller partners, Blue Cedar ISV partners include Unisys, Apperian, Appthority, Tangoe, CA Technologies and SAP.<\/p>\n
