Aqua Security, a cloud-native security provider, announced the industry’s “first and only” end-to-end software supply chain security solution. The new solution ensures protection across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and helps organizations proactively prevent and stop supply chain attacks on cloud-native applications. Aqua identifies software supply chain risks as threats coming from third-party artifacts, open-source dependencies, and malicious actors targeting the unique developer toolset and environment. To combat the growing risk to the software supply chain, Aqua is introducing new capabilities to add to its current supply chain solution. These new capabilities make Aqua the only solution in the market that protects against supply chain risk from code all the way through to runtime across both the application and underlying infrastructure.
Prisma Cloud Delivers Context-Aware Software Composition Analysis Platform
Palo Alto Networks, a global cybersecurity leader, introduced the industry’s first context-aware software composition analysis (SCA) solution to help developers safely use open-source software components. With the addition of SCA to the Prisma Cloud platform, developers and security teams can proactively surface and prioritize known vulnerabilities that impact the application lifecycle (i.e., code, build, deploy and run). Prisma Cloud SCA delivers deep dependency detection and remediation of vulnerabilities in open-source software before applications reach production. It can also help developers prioritize remediation based on software components that are already in use.
Xerox Announces Strategic Partnership with LinkSquares
This week, Xerox announced a new strategic partnership with LinkSquares to deliver contract lifecycle management (CLM) capabilities to its customers in the U.S. as part of the company’s Capture & Content Services offerings. The partnership follows Xerox Ventures’ second investment in LinkSquares earlier this year. Xerox’s Capture & Content Services provide advanced multichannel capture and process automation, making information available at the point of need to enable clients to make better informed and more proactive business decisions. The joint solution uniquely allows users to scan, digitize, transform and enhance contracts and make them available within the LinkSquares CLM platform to deliver efficiency in customers’ contracting processes.
HEAVY.AI & NVIDIA Launch First of Its Kind Digital Twin for Telco Network Planning
Data analytics firm Heavy.AI and Nvidia announced HeavyRF, a new network planning and operations tool for telcos that leverages Nvidia’s Omniverse metaverse technology. The announcement came as part of a flurry of news from Nvidia during CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote address for the company’s fall GTC developer conference, currently underway virtually this year. The companies say the “digital twin” concept behind HeavyRF can help network operators better plan and deploy their 5G network buildouts. Heavy.AI says the tech is already in the hands of Charter Communications, which is using it to plan 5G buildouts of their Spectrum service.
HSB Introduces Meshify Protect IoT Sensor App
HSB’s Internet of Things (IoT) customers can remotely monitor their property and equipment from anywhere, 24/7, with a new, more powerful Meshify Protect mobile app for homes and commercial facilities, the company announced this week. Meshify Protect is HSB’s next-generation mobile app that simplifies sensor activation, tracks the status of locations, and provides actionable alerts about water leaks, frozen pipes, temperature extremes, equipment failure, and other potentially damaging conditions.
The CVE Program Recognizes Dragos as a Numbering Authority
Dragos Inc., a global leader in cybersecurity for industrial controls systems (ICS)/operational technology (OT) environments, announced it has been designated by the CVE Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA). As a CNA, Dragos is authorized to assign CVE IDs to newly discovered vulnerabilities and publicly disclose information about these vulnerabilities through CVE Records. This includes assigning CVE IDs to vulnerabilities found in the company’s own products as well as any third-party products not covered by another CNA that Dragos finds through its ongoing research to help organizations protect their ICS/OT systems.
