Network performance monitoring vendor AppNeta<\/a> recently announced<\/a> updates to their DNS monitoring capabilities<\/a> in the form of three new features. The company launched DNS monitoring<\/a> as a core offering for their network performance management solution, AppNeta Performance Management<\/a>, earlier this year. Their new features for DNS monitoring are detailed comparison reporting, per-interface DNS monitoring, and a data retention baseline for one year.<\/p>\n

Our\u00a0Network Monitoring Buyer\u2019s Guide<\/a><\/span>\u00a0contains profiles on the top network performance monitor vendors, as well as questions you should ask providers and yourself before buying.<\/em><\/div><\/p>\n

AppNeta updated their reporting to allow users to compare the performance of all their servers, third-party providers, and responses. You can visualize the performance of every DNS server and compare DNS hardware performance across web paths. In addition, AppNeta customers can now set up their DNS monitoring points for independent configurations, helping them distinguish between performance on public or private network connections. Finally, the solution will retain DNS performance data for one year so users can plan for the future using historical data.<\/p>\n

These features enhance AppNeta’s DNS monitoring offerings, which comes equipped as part of their network and infrastructure monitoring software. The tool automatically applies end user-focused DNS performance monitoring without requiring additional configuration. AppNeta added these new capabilities based on customer feedback to create a more comprehensive DNS monitoring solution.<\/p>\n
