IT management solutions provider SolarWinds<\/a> recently announced<\/a> new capabilities for their IT operations management and application performance management (APM) suite that boosted their support for Microsoft Azure<\/a>. These updates, as the company states, will benefit users who invest in Azure as a digital transformation partner, offering tech professionals the ability to “monitor, manage, and secure hybrid IT operations.”<\/p>\n

Some of the updates SolarWinds pushed include deeper integrations in Azure to increase application and log monitoring capabilities inside the cloud. SolarWinds also added features to their web performance monitoring solution Pingdom<\/a> to make it easier for users to track performance of web applications running through Azure. In addition, SolarWinds and Microsoft partnered together to certify the Orion Platform for Azure, as well as making the solution available within the Azure Marketplace.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s tech pros require greater flexibility, enhanced security, and improved full-stack visibility to successfully manage the web of applications and workloads spanning on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, like Microsoft Azure,” said Sandy Orlando, SolarWinds’ Senior VP of Products. “These new features and solution enhancements announced today reinforce our commitment to and focus on what matters most to customers: solving IT management problems the way tech pros need them solved and delivering solutions compatible with the environments they use today\u2014and where they\u2019ll grow tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company has been a certified Microsoft partner since 2007; according to them, more than half of their THWACK community<\/a>, which consists of over 150,000 registered SolarWinds community members, use Azure. \u201cSolarWinds customers can now enjoy the benefits of cloud when choosing Azure for their network and systems management products,\u201d said Wisam Hirzalla, Microsoft’s Director of Product Marketing for Azure. \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to have SolarWinds enable customers to run their IT operations solution in the Microsoft cloud.”<\/p>\n
