Analyst house Gartner, Inc., recently announced the winners of its new\u00a02021 Peer Insights Voice of the Customer: WAN Edge Infrastructure<\/a>. <\/i>The report marks the latest addition to the researcher\u2019s expansive list of buyer-centric resources, which already includes its popular\u00a0Magic Quadrant\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Critical Capabilities.\u00a0<\/i>Gartner Peer Insights provides first-hand reviews of software and services contributed by enterprise users. The new report is an extension of Gartner\u2019s\u00a0Customer Choice Awards\u00a0<\/i>released in previous years.<\/p>\n

Peer Insights\u00a0Voice of the Customer\u00a0<\/i>does not include an expansive vendor listing or proprietary graphic to help organizations select the best tools. Rather, it provides reviews that go through a strict validation process to ensure they are authentic. Gartner Peer Insights are meant to be a complement to its expert-led research reports. Aryaka<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Aryaka<\/a> delivers a fully managed, cloud-first WAN solution that provides implementation, management, deployment, troubleshooting, and end-to-end SLA. The company’s high-performance global network utilizes L2 meshed global points of presence. Aryaka focuses on mid-to-large enterprises with complex requirements rather than SMBs. Aryaka was awarded a 4.8-star rating from Gartner Peer Insights as well as a score of 4.8 out of 5 for both Integration and Deployment and Service and Support.<\/p>\n

Fortinet<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Fortinet<\/a> delivers the Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, which includes FortiGate hardware and virtual appliances with accompanying networking and security software managed by the orchestrator in FortiManager. Gartner analysts named Fortinet one of the most capable security solutions of the report. While Fortinet is primarily a security vendor, it also providers a full-fledged SD-WAN deployment. Fortinet received a 4.7-star rating from Gartner Peer Insights based on 124 peer reviews.<\/p>\n

Huawei<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Huawei<\/a> delivers balanced WAN edge and 5G products in China as well as LATAM and EMEA countries. With approximately 60,000 WAN edge customers and approximately 7,000 SD-WAN customers, Huawei operates globally across all verticals and company sizes. The company’s WAN edge product features expanding 5G capabilities that support various industry use cases. Huawei received a 4.8-star rating from Gartner Peer Insights and was listed as having the highest percentage of Asia\/Pacific deployments.<\/p>\n

Palo Alto Networks<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Palo Alto Networks<\/a>, through its acquisition of CloudGenix, has increased the vendor\u2019s SD-WAN capabilities and strengthened its already-high customer experience ratings.Through the CloudGenix and optional Prisma Access for integrated advanced security, Palo Alto received one of the highest customer experience ratings of any vendor based on Gartner\u2019s research. This vendor led the pack in most of the report, earning a 5.0-star overall rating with a 99 percent willingness to recommend.<\/p>\n

Silver Peak<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

Silver Peak<\/a> offers the Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN Edge Platform, which is composed of the Unity Orchestrator, EdgeConnect appliances, and Unity Boost. Silver Peak has strong optimization features, including WAN optimization, SaaS acceleration, and voice optimization; however, the recent announcement that HPE intends to acquire Silver Peak may change its standing in future reports. Silver Peak was awarded a 4.8-star rating from Gartner Peer Insights and was highly recommended for EMEA deployments.<\/p>\n
