\"76%Accedian <\/span>recently released<\/span><\/a> new <\/span>analyst research<\/span><\/a> on the future of 5G in manufacturing. The research was conducted in partnership with the leading management consultancy, Analysys Mason, which focuses on telecoms, media, and technology (TMT). The study found that though 76 percent of manufacturers plan to use private 5G locally by 2024, key barriers to adoption include management complexity, difficulty of deployment, and high costs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing holds serious promise in being transformed through 5G network adoption. As a sector primarily reliant on the quality of connections between technologies and machines, 5G can expedite processes, reduce latency, enable automation, and the adoption of artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality. The majority of manufacturers agree that high reliability (82 percent), security (78 percent), and support for low-latency applications (75 percent) make a 5G network a worthwhile choice.<\/span><\/p>\n
