Veza Launches Authorization Platform on the Snowflake Data Cloud

This week, Veza announced that the Veza Authorization Platform is now available on the Snowflake Data Cloud. With this integration, joint customers can now manage access permissions and secure their sensitive data at scale. By leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud, Veza is joining Snowflake in mobilizing the world’s data to help organizations secure access to sensitive data and achieve continuous compliance.

Satori Cyber Announces Posture Management Platform

Satori, a data security platform, this week announced the availability of Posture Management, a new capability within Satori’s platform that monitors the authorization of users to data across all of a company’s data stores. In addition, Satori announced the availability of Data Store Discovery, which scans and monitors an organization’s cloud accounts to discover new data stores. Powered by Satori’s open-source Universal Data Permissions Scanner, Posture Management is designed to give companies a comprehensive understanding of who has access to what data within the organization, at all times. Posture Management scans all data permissions, provides an analytics layer over data access in the organization, and tracks KPIs to help improve data access posture. Using Posture Management, companies can proactively eliminate risks of a data breach due to over-privileged data access. In addition, with Posture Management, companies can view authorization permissions over time and at any specific point in time, making compliance audits and forensic investigations easier and more efficient.

Rubrik Announces “Industry’s First” Advanced User Intelligence on Rubrik Security Cloud

This week, data security provider, Rubrik, unveiled new user intelligence capabilities designed to aid organizations become more proactive against cyberattacks. Rubrik aims to deliver cyber resilience across both the data and users, including new User Intelligence, so organizations can work to proactively prevent attacks from happening before they cause significant damage. Rubrik’s new user intelligence capabilities will utilize time series data recorded over consistent intervals of time in Rubrik Security Cloud to proactively mitigate cyber risk before they can be exploited by cyber criminals. Additionally, organizations will have visibility to the types of sensitive data they have, what users have access to the data, how that access has changed over time, and whether that access may pose risk to their business. By gaining more comprehensive visibility into user intelligence, organizations can better determine the root cause for cyberattacks and organizations will be able to proactively identify accidental exposure of data to unauthorized users to minimize damage from cyberattacks.

U.S. Charges Apple Ex-Employee For Trying to Steal Technology, Fleeing to China

The United States on Tuesday announced charges in five cases involving alleged efforts to steal technology to benefit China, Russia and Iran including a former Apple Inc (AAPL.O) engineer accused of targeting the company’s technology on autonomous systems, including self-driving cars, and then fleeing to China. The cases detailed at a Justice Department press conference centered on allegations concerning the theft of trade secrets and other technology. Two of the cases involved what U.S. officials called procurement networks created to help Russia’s military and intelligence services obtain sensitive technology.

Keeper Security APAC KK is located in the Prime Terrace KAMIYACHO building in the Toranomon district of Minato. With an established APAC presence, Keeper is addressing the Asia-Pacific region’s substantial growth in the consumer technology sector and enterprise demands for fortified cybersecurity strategies, including password and privileged access management solutions, to keep customers, data, and systems secure. Keeper’s Japan team consists of management, sales, marketing, customer success, support and administrative personnel. The move continues the company’s growth commitment in the region, following the opening of Keeper’s secure cloud data center in Japan in 2022.

Sectigo Announces Executive Appointment of Julie Gettys as Chief Human Resources Officer

Sectigo, a Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform and digital certificates provider, this week announced the appointment of Julie Gettys as Chief Human Resources Officer, (CHRO). Gettys has over 17 years of experience in increasingly challenging, results-oriented, human resources leadership positions. Her most recent three years was spent as the Vice President of People Operations at Therapy Brands, a health-care technology provider of practice management software for mental, behavioral, and rehabilitative therapy customers. Prior to this, she spent four years as Vice President of Human Resources at iSolved HCM, an employee experience company which provides Human Capital Management technology.

AU10TIX’s Serial Fraud Monitor Prevented Over a Billion USD in Business Fraud in Q1

AU10TIX, an identity verification and management solutions provider, this week announced that its Serial Fraud Monitor solution protected companies against $1.3B in business fraud in Q1. Previously known as INSTINCT, the “industry-leading” solution uses advanced neural network technology to provide businesses with real-time protection against sophisticated ID fraud, including swarm attacks and synthetic fraud. The scalable solution is used across a wide spectrum of industries, including: banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI); healthcare; government, community and social services; gaming; automotive and mobility; e-commerce; shared economy; education; and legal. Today’s announcement comes on the heels of AU10TIX’s March announcement of Reusable ID, a collaboration with Microsoft to provide verifiable credentials (VC) architecture for identity management. The company’s technology was also recently selected as the “Best Identity-as-a-Service Platform” in the seventh annual FinTech Breakthrough Awards Program.
