Technology research giant Gartner, Inc., best known for their Magic Quadrant reports, announced the 2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers\u2019 Choice for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Software<\/a>. The Gartner Peer Insights is an online platform of ratings on solutions and solution providers from IT professionals, providing a compendium of customer feedback to both vendors and prospective customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Gartner Peer Insights Customers\u2019 Choice Winners are determined by compiling customers\u2019 overall rankings of products via solution ratings, the number of published reviews, and subjective customer opinions. The Peer Insights includes more than 70,000 reviews from enterprises in more than 200 markets and industries. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gartner defines SIEM as security products that \u00a0\u201canalyze security event data and network flow data in real time for internal and external threat management. They collect, store, analyze and report on log data for incident response, forensics and regulatory compliance.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The 2018 SIEM Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Winners were six solutions providers who, according to the Gartner Peer Insights\u2019 respondents, best fits Gartner\u2019s definition of the market: LogRhythm, Splunk, McAfee, Solarwinds, AlienVault, and Exabeam.<\/span><\/p>\n
