\"logs1\"Sumo Logic, a\u00a0provider of cloud-native machine data analytics, \u00a0has announced<\/a> the general availability of Unified Logs and Metrics (ULM)<\/a>, a\u00a0machine data analytics platform that can ingest, index and analyze metrics and log data together in real-time.<\/p>\n

The Sumo Logic platform unifies logs and metrics, transforming a variety of data types into real-time continuous intelligence for modern applications and business insights.<\/p>\n

Handling data natively means that Sumo Logic\u2019s platform\u00a0works within the context of each data type\u2019s unique form,\u00a0<\/i>making log and metric analytics viewable in real-time via graphical, interactive dashboards. Log and metric data can be viewed side-by-side or contextually overlaid.<\/p>\n

ULM offers out of the box support for Host\u00a0Metrics such as CPU, memory, disk usage and AWS CloudWatch metrics – from\u00a0services like AWS Cloud Trail, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon Kinesis, AWS\u00a0Config, VPC Flow Logs and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).<\/p>\n

In a statement, Sumo Logic said that the early access program for ULM has seen “broad customer demand” from early access partners including Hudl, Cloud Cruiser, and Red Ventures.<\/p>\n

“Cloud-native machine learning systems are transforming the way digital businesses operate,” said Kalyan Ramanathan, VP of product marketing for Sumo Logic. “Sumo Logic scales with the demands of modern applications and can easily handle the volume of machine data caused by spikes and bursts experienced on a day-to-day basis. With the general availability of Unified Logs and Metrics, customers are better equipped to take advantage of disruptive trends, such as public cloud adoption, DevOps, security forensics and machine data analytics.”<\/p>\n

Sumo Logic’s ULM platform is currently available for Sumo’s Professional<\/em> and Enterprise<\/em>\u00a0grade\u00a0customers.<\/p>\n
