Morgeson, P<\/a>h.D., HealthcareSource Scientific Advisor and Eli Broad Professor of Management in the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University, HealthcareSource completed an extensive review of healthcare job-related competencies to ensure relevance for today&#8217;s healthcare applicant population. As a result, new competencies have been added to HealthcareSource Staff Assessment, including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Accountability<\/li>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Emotional Evenness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The study shows these new competencies provide additional insights into applicants and correlate strongly to job performance ratings and customer service behaviors that impact the overall patient experience (HCAHPS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&#8220;Scientifically validated, pre-employment behavioral assessments are essential components in predicting job success,&#8221; said Dr. Morgeson. &#8220;They enable healthcare organizations to improve the quality of their hires, reduce turnover, and improve performance by identifying candidates who are the best fit for their organization.
