Juniper, Aerohive Partner on Wired, Wireless Networking Offering<\/a><\/strong> – Juniper Networks and Aerohive Networks are jointly developing a wired and wireless networking solution aimed at distributed enterprises that are wrestling with such trends as the consumerization of IT, cloud computing and the Internet of things (IoT) and the need for a secure and scalable network from the edge to the data center.<\/p>\n

Ruckus Wireless Delivers Carrier-Class Wi-Fi to World-Class Event with Alcatel-Lucent<\/a><\/strong> – Ruckus Wireless is delivering superior, high-performance Wi-Fi experience for attendees of this year’s SReXperts conferences \u2013 hosted over the last four months by Alcatel-Lucent for their service provider and other customers in\u00a0Madrid,\u00a0Tokyo\u00a0and now\u00a0San Diego.<\/p>\n

T-Ray is a step up the electromagnetic spectrum, just above microwave and short of infrared light waves. Conventional radios can’t produce it\u2014hence the need to find solutions. Data rates could be high, possibly up to 100Gbps.<\/p>\n

Federated Wireless Partners With NASCTN to Conduct the First Pilot Test of an ESC for the SAS<\/a><\/strong> – Federated Wireless, Inc., which develops technologies to maximize the utilization of spectrum resources to extend carrier networks, announced that it is collaborating with The National Advanced Spectrum and Communications Test Network (NASCTN) on the first pilot test of an Environmental Sensor Capability (ESC) for the company\u2019s Spectrum Access System (SAS). The testing and validation of the ESC marks an important milestone for Federated Wireless, as well as the wireless industry as a whole. The ESC validation will help to accelerate the certification of a spectrum access services solution with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Department of Defense (DoD), and ready the technology\u2019s deployment.<\/p>\n

NETGEAR launches ADSL Modem Router with 802.11AC Wireless in India<\/a><\/strong> – NETGEAR has launched a new modem router that supports blazing-fast dual-band WiFi speeds, better range, and more devices than typical modem routers in the equipment bundle from your\u00a0 Internet Service Provider. The NETGEAR D6000, AC750 Wi-Fi ADSL Modem Router with dual band Gigabit is designed for larger homes and for home environments supporting devices such as smartphones, notebooks, tablets, laptops, computers, smart TVs, gaming consoles, and Blu-ray\u00a0players.<\/p>\n

Dell looks to overhaul campus networks with new switches and architecture<\/a><\/strong> – Dell is looking to simplify campus networks by offering new kit that enables customers to collapse the traditional multi-tier model into a much simpler architecture, with a single pane of glass to manage the entire infrastructure. Set to be available from October,\u00a0Dell’s new campus networking products\u00a0comprise the Dell Networking C9010 Network Director switch and the Dell Networking C1048P Rapid Access Node switch, which are designed to work together as a logical network tier stretching from core to access nodes.<\/p>\n

Lancom Systems unveils new 802.11ac Wi-Fi Aps<\/a><\/strong> – Lancom Systems, a German manufacturer of networking products, released its new L-800 series of 867-Mbps Wi-Fi access points. The two IEEE 802.11ac dual-radio access points Lancom L-822acn dual Wireless and Lancom LN-830acn dual Wireless add a further two enterprise-class access points to the manufacturer’s Wi-Fi portfolio. Lancom has equipped these two devices with 2×2 MIMO and an enhanced version of its Wireless LAN optimisation platform Active Radio Control (ARC).
