Information Builders is a New York-based solution provider that offers a wide range of BI and data management software tools. The company’s WebFOCUS platform features self-service analytics and data discovery, a visual discovery insight mode, predictive capabilities, and more. WebFOCUS can deploy secure applications to millions of users, and governance functionality enables metadata-driven delivery across an organization. The platform also extends beyond dashboards for executives and analysts by operationalizing data and analytics for line-of-business users.

ibi Automated Insights will be included in the WebFOCUS 8207.13 release in two weeks. Insights can take the form of correlations for detecting where multiple measures show a similar trend, outliers that identify unusual patterns in data, and time-based use cases for analyzing business data over time. Insights are all available through the platform’s Designer by clicking the new “Insights” button. Users can also add Insights to existing portals and dashboards to share them with others.

ibi Open Visualizations connects other third-party data visualization tools to any data source, file format, API, and application in a curated manner. Users can make the connection through the ibi Open Data Platform (currently the WebFOCUS Reporting Server). The company is also adding a new healthcare solution to its portfolio. Omni-HealthData Cloud Essentials is an enterprise-class data and analytics solution aimed at mid-market healthcare providers and unused patient data. Omni-HealthData Cloud Essentials is a SaaS-based managed services offering, something the company plans to offer more of in the near future.

In conjunction with the new brand, analytic capabilities, and managed service products, ibi is also enhancing its customer service and support. The vendor is also launching a new customer and partner community platform called myibi. myibi gives customers and partners a way to provide direct feedback to the company’s global customer service and product teams.

In a statement about the news, CEO Frank Vella said: “We’re on a mission to prepare organizations for the future by turning them into information builders.”
