Amazon Web Services and Coursera recently launched four brand-new specializations focusing on modern application development on the AWS platform. These specializations focus on app development through four programming languages or platforms: Python, Java, .NET, and Node.js.

4 AWS Modern Application Development Specializations on Coursera

Specialization Title: Modern Application Development with Python on AWS

OUR TAKE: This specialization focuses on application development on AWS using Python. In addition to introducing the AWS platform and services, the courses in this specialization focus on using Python to develop modern applications through Amazon Web Services.

Description: “This specialization is designed to help you master the skills of designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS with Python. The AWS Specializations begin with the foundational technical and cloud knowledge that you need to build in the AWS Cloud. We introduce several AWS compute services, such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), AWS storage and database offerings (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB), AWS networking capabilities, monitoring capabilities, and the AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) service. The second course explores how to build an API-driven application using Amazon API Gateway for serverless API hosting, AWS Lambda for serverless computing, and Amazon Cognito for serverless authentication. The third course introduces NoSQL databases and the challenges they solve. The Python course also includes a fourth course that helps you learn how to use Amazon CodeGuru.”
