Top 10 Twitter Accounts to Follow for Cloud Computing Looking for information or news on cloud PaaS, SaaS, IaaS; public, private or hybrid clouds? Twitter is the place to start. Nowhere else has the latest and most up to date information on cloud, but where do you start? How do you find accounts to follow? Here’s our list of the top 10 Twitter accounts to follow for cloud computing.

  1. VWware vCloud (@vCloud) – VMware is huge in the cloud industry and their products are compatible with lots of other services and components. But VMware doesn’t just Tweet about themselves, they offer great articles on the basics too, like the difference between public and private clouds and articles on cloud based disaster recovery.
  2. Simon Porter (@simonlporter) – Simon is the IBM Vice President for SMB in Europe and he tweets all throughout the day, linking different articles and information about IBM’s involvement and innovation with cloud.
  3. Cloud Computing (@ComputingClouds) – Cloud Computing tweets the latest news in cloud from lots of different sources. From the latest trends in cloud, to what cloud vendors are doing, to how-to articles, Cloud Computing tweets it all.
  4. CloudEXPO (@CloudExpo) – CloudEXPO is the official twitter of the cloud computing expo that is running from June 9-11, 2015 in the New York Javits Center and from November 3-5, 2015 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. CloudEXPO offers updates and information on their events, and useful articles on cloud computing.
  5. CloudTech (@cloud_comp_news) – CloudTech is the official Twitter of cloudcomputing-news.net. They have a staff of writers that reports that latest news in cloud and also offers a wealth of best-practice articles to help with all aspects of cloud technology.
  6. Amazon Web Services (@awscloud) – Amazon Web Services is the official Twitter of AWS. Awscloud gives you news on the latest happenings with AWS and often posts and retweets other helpful articles from different sources.
  7. Google Cloud Platform (@googlecloud) – Google Cloud Platform is the official Twitter of Google Cloud. They tweet about what’s going on and coming up for Google Cloud, and post interesting articles about opinions and trends in the space.
