Observe Nabs $50 Million Venture Capital Funding for ML Data Observability
Observe, which develops software-as-a-service observability tools for storing, managing and analyzing machine-generated data and logs, has raised $50 million in convertible debt led by Sutter Hill Ventures. The financing will be used to grow Observe’s sales and R&D teams, according to CEO Jeremy Burton, as the company looks to expand its headcount from 150 employees to 250 by the end of 2024.
PlanetScale Adds Support for Vector Storage & Search into MySQL
PlanetScale already maintains a fork of MySQL, and will be adding vector types and indexes to it. When released, the company will run that MySQL fork in PlanetScale as they do today. They will also publish packages and containers for PlanetScale-flavored MySQL that will allow users to test and develop locally.
SnapLogic Now Working with AWS to Expand SnapGPT
SnapLogic will make Anthropic’s cutting-edge Large Language Model (LLM), Claude 2, offered by Amazon Bedrock, available within the SnapGPT platform that was made generally available earlier this year. Amazon Bedrock is a fully managed service that provides access to industry-leading foundation models via an API to build and scale generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
