Fortanix Releases 2025 GenAI Data Security Report
Of those surveyed, 97 percent said their company plans to either buy or build a GenAI solution to automate business processes or create new revenue streams. At the same time, 87 percent of security executives reported a breach in the past 12 months. Organizations must ultimately secure data across multiple owners, applications, environments, and geographies.
InfluxData Extends Partnership with AWS
Read Replicas are the latest addition to InfluxData’s collaboration with AWS to deliver Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB, a managed offering announced last year for AWS developers to run open source InfluxDB natively on AWS without the overhead of self-management. Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB Read Replicas is now available for purchase in the AWS Management Console.
New McKnight Consulting Group Study Compares Analytic & AI Databases

Prophecy Says Data Teams Are Quick to Deploy GenAI
Top management is on board—and sometimes leading the charge. A quarter of executives (25 percent) say their leaders will greenlight any project “with AI as a core component,” though the largest group (44 percent) are a bit more cautious, seeing the need for AI investment while putting at least some guardrails on the process.
Securiti Partners with Databricks on AI App-Dev
The collaboration will see Securiti integrate its Gencore AI tool with two components of Databricks’ popular cloud data platform. The first is the Delta table data format, while the other is the Mosaic AI toolkit for building AI software. Alongside Gencore AI, Securiti’s new partnership with Databricks focuses on the latter company’s Delta table and Mosaic AI features.

Through support of Microsoft Azure Mexico, organizations in Mexico and across LATAM will be able to more effectively leverage the built-in security and governance of the Snowflake platform while enabling cross-cloud flexibility and collaboration. The launch of support for Microsoft Azure Mexico highlights Snowflake’s ongoing commitment to Mexico and LATAM as a strategic growth opportunity.
Voltron Data Secures Strategic Investment from Accenture
Voltron Data’s core solution—Theseus —is a SQL query engine that can enable enterprises to process petabyte-scale data faster and at a lower cost than traditional CPU-based systems. This investment, made through Accenture Ventures, will support Voltron Data in its efforts to help organizations use advanced computing technology to speed up large-scale analytics, used for generative AI and machine learning applications.
