The new round brings the Menlo Park–based startup’s total funding to $34.5 million since its 2018 founding. Promethium will use the funding to scale new customer growth by building its sales and marketing efforts and continuing to innovate its products. Promethium has been used to answer more than 16,000 business questions with data and has saved customers thousands of hours of data consolidation and data preparation.

Superconductive Nabs $40 Million Series B Round to Hasten Data Collaboration Integrity

The new funds will be used to accelerate the continued investment in open-source and its community, development, and launch of a first commercial product, and key hires across the organization. Along with improvements to the open-source version, the company is working on the development of Great Expectations Cloud, an enterprise SaaS suite of collaboration and orchestration tools for managing data quality across an organization’s whole data infrastructure.

Pepperdata Appoints Maneesh Dhir as New CEO

Maneesh Dhir has held executive positions in several major companies. Most recently, Dhir was the Chief Product Strategy Officer for the enterprise business at FICO. From 2010 to 2015, Dhir was Managing Director for Apple’s India business. Former CEO Ash Munshi will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the company’s board of directors after leading the company through five years of growth.
