Susan E. Ray, PhD, is Associate Professor of English and inaugural Faculty Fellow for AI Integration at Delaware County Community College outside Philadelphia. She leads Bridging the AI Gap, a grant-funded initiative that brings structured AI instruction and institutionally funded tools into first-year composition. A Victorian literature scholar whose work now centers ethical AI pedagogy, she is DCCC’s 2026 Lindback Award recipient for Distinguished Teaching, an AAC&U Faculty Mentor, and an adviser to W. W. Norton’s forthcoming Guide to AI-Aware Teaching. She has delivered keynotes and workshops at more than 25 colleges, universities, and national organizations.
