Andesite AI Launches With $15.25M in Initial Funding
Andesite AI, a McLean, VA-based company dedicated to delivering technology to overburdened cybersecurity teams, emerged from stealth with $15.25m in initial funding. Co-developed by Red Cell Partners and General Catalyst, and led by CEO Brian Carbaugh, Andesite has built an advanced AI security analytics platform to “empower both private- and public-sector cyber analysts to defend against advanced persistent threats (APTs).” By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), the solution analyzes decentralized data sets at scale to help cyber defenders and analysts more quickly surface threats and vulnerabilities, prioritize and allocate resources, and respond and remediate in a way that improves security posture and reduces cost. Andesite is the latest company to launch under Red Cell’s newly formed Cyber Practice, led by George Barnes, a former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency (NSA).

Amid Apple’s Sideloading Shift, Hexnode Can Block Marketplace App Installation on iOS Devices
In light of Apple’s recent announcement concerning the introduction of sideloading and alternate app stores for its European iPhones, Hexnode has rolled out the ‘allowMarketplaceAppInstallation’ feature for enterprises. Wing Security Is Now Available on AWS Marketplace
Wing Security, an SaaS Security solutions provider, this week announced that its SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) solution is now available through AWS Marketplace. This large, rapidly growing online distribution channel makes it easier for organizations to find, purchase and deploy Wing’s SSPM solutions to secure their cloud assets. “AWS Marketplace vastly expands the availability of our solution to global customers, empowering them to take control of their security through a proven, easy-to-use distribution channel,” said Galit Lubetzky Sharon, CEO of Wing Security. “We are dedicated to providing advanced SaaS security measures that align with AWS’s shared responsibility model, ensuring that both AWS services and the workloads developed on them are secure.”
DoControl Announces Integration with Google Workspace Labels
DoControl, a leading provider of SaaS Security solutions, announced this week its integration with Google Workspace Labels, to discover, understand, and protect sensitive data in Google Drive. The integration catalogs Google DLP, Vault, and Self-Service Labels across My Drive and Shared Drive. This aggregation of Google Labels, HRIS/IDP metadata, and end-user activity gives DoControl the context needed to protect sensitive data, mitigate insider threats, and stop data breaches. “Traditional DLP solutions scan for Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and expect security teams to remediate without any business context,” said Adam Gavish, Co-Founder and CEO at DoControl. “DoControl helps security teams become business enablers, by injecting critical context into the DLP play to ensure all sensitive data is not compromised without slowing down business enablement.”
