Corma Raises $60 Million in Seed Funding
Corma, a frontier AI lab for defensive cybersecurity, has raised $60 million in seed funding led by Sequoia Capital, with support from Khosla Ventures and Coatue. Despite launching just six weeks ago, Corma’s AI workforce has already been deployed at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations across healthcare, financial services, energy, critical infrastructure, retail, and other sectors. The closure of this seed funding will help the company continue developing its foundation model, purpose-built for defensive cybersecurity.
Nozomi Networks and Sophos Announce an Integration Partnership
Nozomi Networks—a provider of operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security—has announced a partnership with Sophos, a global cybersecurity company. As part of the partnership, the companies will integrate Nozomi Networks Vantage, an AI-enabled OT security platform, with Sophos Fusion, an AI-native cybersecurity defense system. The integration of these solutions will bring Nozomi’s OT telemetry, asset intelligence, and threat data directly into Sophos Fusion, where teams can correlate it with security data from their IT environment without switching contexts.
OpenAI Introduces Two Access Tiers to OpenAI Daybreak
OpenAI is expanding OpenAI Daybreak, its cybersecurity tool that helps defenders keep pace with an accelerating threat landscape, by introducing two access tiers that provide approved defenders with the capabilities they need for their work. With Daybreak Blue, users gain access to frontier general-purpose models, including GPT‑5.6 Sol, while Daybreak Red provides access to OpenAI’s purpose-trained cybersecurity models for authorized vulnerability research, exploit validation, and security testing. OpenAI has also announced GPT‑5.6‑Cyber, available with Daybreak Red, which is trained to improve capabilities on several specialized cybersecurity tasks.
Searchlight Cyber Launches a Preemptive Threat Exposure Management Platform
Searchlight Cyber has launched a Preemptive Threat Exposure Management (PTEM) platform. The new solution combines exposure visibility with real-world attacker intelligence, enabling organizations to prioritize and reduce the exposures most likely to be exploited. Searchlight has also updated its corporate identity and website to reflect its ongoing evolution into a preemptive cybersecurity company. Michael Gianarakis, CEO of Searchlight Cyber, says. “By combining continuous exposure visibility, pre-disclosure zero-day mitigations, and live insight into real attacker activity, we’re helping organizations focus their security resource on the threats that matter, before compromise occurs.”
Semgrep Expands Its Integration Partnership with Replit
Semgrep, a code security company, is deepening its partnership with Replit, an agentic software creation platform. The collaboration will embed Semgrep Guardian’s secrets scanning as a core analytical layer in the Replit Security Center, bringing continuous static application security testing (SAST) to software builders. Additionally, by combining Semgrep’s deterministic static application security testing (SAST) with Replit’s agentic LLM reasoning, the expanded integration can filter out false positives, providing development teams with high-confidence feedback without slowing build times.
SonicWall Debuts Its Unified Endpoint Protection Security Solution
SonicWall, a “partner-first” unified cybersecurity portfolio company, has launched SonicWall Endpoint Security, a unified endpoint protection solution purpose-built for managed service providers (MSPs) working with small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). Powered by SonicWall’s patented Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) engine, the platform can stop advanced threats in real-time by bringing together threat protection, automated threat response, and one-click ransomware restore capabilities. It’s available as both a standalone Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tool and as a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service fully managed by the SonicSentry security operations center.
