AppOmni and Cisco Detail Their New Partnership

AppOmni, a SaaS security provider, has announced a partnership that combines its Zero Trust Posture Management (ZTPM) solution with Cisco’s Security Service Edge (SSE) technology suite. The combination solution will provide companies with end-to-end zero trust from the endpoint to the application, enabling zero trust principles at the application layer in Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. As part of the partnership, AppOmni will also become one of the independent software vendors (ISVs) on Cisco’s Global Price List (GPL), which is included in Cisco’s SolutionsPlus Program.

ConnectWise, a software company focusing on Managed Service Providers (MSPs), has announced several enhancements to its cybersecurity and data protection offerings. The innovations will equip MSPs with the tools they need to defend against increasingly complex cyber-attacks while fostering business growth. Those updates include expanded coverage for ConnectWise MDR for Microsoft 365, enhancements to the ConnectWise Co-Managed Backup tool, and the general availability of ConnectWise Security360, a cybersecurity solution focused on helping organizations improve their attack surface management (ASM).

Lumifi Acquires Critical Insight

Lumifi, a managed detection and response (MDR) technology company, has acquired Critical Insight, a cybersecurity solution provider that works with hospitals, local governments, utilities, and school systems. Critical Insight’s incident response capabilities will expand Lumifi’s real-time threat monitoring suite and grow its install base in the healthcare and local government markets. Lumifi customers will receive access to Critical Insight’s professional services offerings in November 2024, with the integration of its operations and services into Lumifi’s infrastructure expected to finish by the end of 2024.

SonicWall Launches a New Security Solution for Office Environments

SonicWall, a global cybersecurity provider, has launched TX80, a new solution designed specifically for branch offices and small office/home office (SOHO) environments. TX80 is a supscription-based device that packages networking, access, and security solutions together to help service providers and value-added resellers (VARs) improve how they deliver cybersecurity. Features include built-in integration with cloud-native zero trust network access (ZTNA), VPN as a service (VPNaaS) for hybrid environments, firewall management, network monitoring, and an “industry-first” cyber-threat warranty.
