Accenture and SAP SE Announce an Expanded Collaboration
Accenture has announced a collaboration with SAP SE to help organizations improve their supply chains with an extensive supply chain nerve capable of reducing risk, supporting sustainability goals, and enhancing visibility. This supply chain nerve center can also interface with other SAP solutions, including S/4HANA Cloud, Business Network, Business Technology Platform, Datasphere, and Analytics Cloud. The two companies also plan to co-develop new capabilities for the SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain (SAP IBP) solution. This will help organizations further enhance their ability to respond to supply, demand, and inventory changes.

Amazon Web Services Debut New Capabilities for its Supply Chain Offering
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced four new capabilities for the AWS Supply Chain solution. These capabilities, announced at re:Invent, will become available in 2024 and expand Amazon’s existing data lake, demand planning, and machine learning (ML)-powered insights. Companies can use these features to manage their upstream supply chain, forecast inventory and materials needs, get accurate data about relevant environmental factors, obtain commitments from suppliers, and communicate with suppliers to confirm supply chains.

Aptean, a global provider of enterprise software solutions, has acquired 3T Logistics & Technology Group (3T), a cloud-based transportation management system (TMS) provider for shippers and carriers in the United Kingdom and across the broader European territories. The acquisition will add new capabilities for Aptean’s TMS offerings for shippers and carriers that serve manufacturers and distributors in industrial machinery, food and beverage, fast-moving consumer goods, automotive, and building product verticals.

DXC Technology, a global technology services company, has expanded its ongoing relationship with Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) to help customers accelerate their journey to modern, cloud-centric IT. The partnership will allow DXC customers to move their workloads to AWS, give them access to AWS’s security and reliability, increase innovation, and lower IT infrastructure costs. Flexera—a hybrid ITAM and FinOps solution provider—has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Snow Software. The companies will offer an expanded global footprint, extensive strategic partner network, and deeper IT Asset Management (ITAM), SaaS Management, and FinOps capabilities. Additionally, customers will gain in-depth, dynamic views into their technology blueprints and deeper visibility into their assets, technologies, terms of licensing, and usage. Planview—a global portfolio and value stream management solution provider—has announced that five of its solutions are now available in the AWS marketplace.
