Nuvion Receives Its SOC 2 Type I Report

Nuvion, an  AI-powered global banking and cross-border payments platform, has received its first SOC 2 Type I report, marking a notable milestone in the company’s security, governance, and enterprise readiness. This report offers customers and partners an independent assessment of Nuvion’s control environment design, helping the company showcase its ability to work with enterprise customers, regulated financial institutions, banking partners, and infrastructure providers whose procurement and third-party risk processes require a technology provider’s security controls to be independently assessed.

Okta Appoints a Chief Legal Officer

Okta, a global identity company, has named veteran legal leader Scott Morgan as its new Chief Legal Officer. In this role, Morgan will lead Okta’s global legal, regulatory, governance, and government affairs functions. He says, “Moving swiftly into agentic identity opens up an entirely new and massive opportunity. I’m thrilled to join this world-class team defining the future of enterprise security, and to help build a lasting, secure future, both for Okta and our customers.”

Privacy Bee Acquires EraseMe.app

Privacy Bee, a data protection and privacy “co-pilot,” has acquired EraseMe.app, a personal data removal service that helps consumers reduce their online exposure. The acquisition will bring EraseMe.app customers and technology into Privacy Bee and provide EraseMe.app’s customers with a path to Privacy Bee’s ongoing monitoring, Data Broker coverage, and continued removal support. Privacy Bee will also incorporate EraseMe.app’s technology into its platform, strengthening the service for existing subscribers.

WhatsApp Shares an Early Look at Its Upcoming Scam Alert Tool

WhatsApp, Meta’s free private messaging and calling platform, has shared an early look at Scam Alert, a new and optional feature that runs an on-device machine-learning model built to alert users about potential scam messages. Scam Alert complements end-to-end encryption while enabling a user-controlled, optional scam alert when the model believes there’s a likely scam. As well as being a user-controlled tool, Scam Alert is an on-device-only offering with no automatic reporting, meaning WhatsApp cannot share any user data without the user’s action. The tool will be released in Beta at a later date.
