John Prisco

Throughout his 30-year career, John Prisco has held five different CEO roles prior to his current position as CEO of Safe Quantum. John advises organizations including Toshiba, the Chicago Quantum Exchange and the National Science Foundation in the areas of quantum key distribution, post-quantum cryptography and quantum networks. John is a member of the Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) and Chairman of its Use Cases Technical Advisory Committee. He is also a U.S. representative at the U.S.-Japan Quantum Cooperation Workshop. John is a regular contributor to the Forbes Technology Council, where he writes and comments on quantum and security issues. He is also a member of industry groups such as the Quantum Industry Coalition (QIC), and Advisor to the Hudson Institute’s Quantum Alliance Initiative. Additionally, he served a member of the ITU, where he represented U.S. interests in developing standards for QKD and QRNG. Prisco holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Science in the field of Quantum Optics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
