AppDome Brings New App Development Features Their App Fusion Offering

AppDome

AppDome has just announced a major expansion of their App Fusion deployment. This secures enterprise apps by adding an extra security layer around the IPA/APK for iOS and Android apps. This layer is fused between the application binary and the OS, meaning that no source code modifications or SDK integrations are required. This expansion now includes mobile applications management (MAM), VPN and a mobile application development platform (MADP) to make enterprise data and critical systems more easily accessible to employees through mobile.

Recently named by Gartner as the Cool Vendor in Mobile Security, AppDome offers enterprises the ability to fuse new features and capabilities into existing apps without having to redevelop the app. The App Fusion service enables enterprises to quickly and easily bond best-of-breed MAM, VPN and MADP solutions, such as Good Dynamics and Pulse Secure, directly into mobile apps. The fusion process is done automatically, takes minutes, and without any code change or SDK integration. The fused package (IPA/APK) can be distributed via enterprise and official stores.

AppDome’s patent pending fusion technology shortens time-to-market by relieving the pain of mobile SDK integration and re-integration during version updates, as well as the cost of struggling with wrapping platforms incompatibilities. App Fusion supports all available mobile development platforms for iOS and Android.

“As the richness of enterprise apps grows with the need to make enterprise data and critical systems accessible to employees, it is imperative to enable organizational IT to add MAM/MADP security and VPN connectivity into existing apps without affecting the app’s development lifecycle,” said Avi Yehuda, AppDome CTO. “The App Fusion technology is replacing traditional app wrapping – which falls short in scaling across operating systems and the growing variety of applications.”

“Fusing MAM and MADP capabilities into existing enterprise apps is crucial in providing required organizational controls without investing excessive resources in support and maintenance,” said Tal Gilat, AppDome CEO.

“Existing MAM and MADP customers are reluctant to integrate SDKs, and experience numerous difficulties with traditional wrappers. They require an entirely new approach to on-the-fly feature enablement which can now be offered by App Fusion.”
