Alteryx Launches New Version of Analytic Process Automation Platform

Alteryx recently unveiled enhancements to Alteryx Analytic Process Automation (APA), a unified analytics, data science and business process automation platform. The product features hundreds of ready-to-use building blocks for automating processes and a collection of more than 80 natively integrated data sources. Alteryx APA also provides optimized upskilling, and this update comes on the heels of the company’s launch of a new initiative called ADAPT, which provides a free analytics training curriculum and certification program for those whose employment was impacted by COVID-19.
Alteryx Analytics allows users to organize, clean, and analyze data in a repeatable workflow. Business analysts find this tool particularly useful for connecting to and cleansing data from data warehouses, cloud applications, spreadsheets and other sources. The platform features tools to run a variety of analytic jobs (predictive, statistical, spatial) inside a single interface.
Alteryx’s pitch is that siloed analytics, data science and process automation insight is often artificially separated, which can lead to the creation of chokepoints between data sources, technologies and teams. The APA tool includes more than 260 automation building blocks and touts a code-free and code-friendly environment. In addition to automation, the platform also manages complex and data-centric business processes for a diverse array of user personas.
In a media statement about the news, Alteryx co-founder and CEO Dean Stoecker said: “The analytics category is fast maturing, and capitalizing on the potential of APA demands a unified platform that makes analytics, data science and process automation accessible to all. Human ingenuity is essential in creating any form of successful automation and when humans and machines work together as a means of amplifying intelligence, we can solve remarkable problems.”
