Alteryx Extends Governed Analytics And Business Logic Into External AI Agents

Alteryx has launched conversational analytics, agent-building, MCP, and ChatGPT integration capabilities that let users access governed workflows, approved data, and business calculations through the AI tools where they already work. New features include Ask Alteryx for live data queries, Agent Studio for conversational agents built on governed datasets, an MCP server that lets agents discover and run Alteryx assets under existing permissions, and Alteryx Skills for third-party coding agents; Alteryx says its internal testing found workflows could reduce token consumption by up to 93% and improve task speed by up to 85% for raw data tasks.

OpenAI Launches Data Agent For Conversational Analytics, Dashboards, And Follow-Through In ChatGPT Work

OpenAI has introduced Data, an agent in ChatGPT Work that connects to approved enterprise data sources, investigates business questions, creates interactive dashboards, and can recommend or carry out approved follow-up actions through connected tools. It supports sources including Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, MongoDB, Snowflake, ClickHouse, Datadog, Google Drive, and SharePoint; it also uses semantic definitions and context from systems such as dbt, GitHub, Snowflake Horizon, Databricks Genie Ontology, and BI dashboards while enforcing the connected account’s existing table-, row-, and column-level permissions.

ScaleOut Software Updates In-Memory Data Grid For Real-Time AI And Analytics Workloads

ScaleOut Software has released version 7 of its ScaleOut Product Suite, expanding its in-memory computing platform for real-time analytics, digital twins, and AI-supported applications. The update is intended to help organizations process and analyze rapidly changing operational data with lower latency and greater scale, supporting use cases that require continuous insight and decisioning rather than batch-oriented data processing.

ThoughtSpot Brings Governed Analytics And App Development Into ChatGPT Work

ThoughtSpot is now available in the ChatGPT Work Plugin Directory with two plugins: Spotter, which delivers governed natural-language analytics answers, and SpotterCode, which turns natural-language instructions into configured embedded analytics applications. Both connect to a customer’s existing ThoughtSpot instance and retain row-, column-, and attribute-level controls, federated identity, connector permissions, audit logging, and data-in-place access, allowing business users to query trusted metrics while developers automate tasks such as tenant provisioning and application setup.
