IBM Ventures has made a strategic investment in Leena AI to support expansion of its AI Colleague platform, which resolves employee requests and executes multistep workflows across HR, IT, and finance systems. Integrations include SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceNow, positioning the platform around completing processes rather than answering questions alone. Starburst Introduces GPU-Native SQL Engine Without Requiring Query Or Application Changes

Starburst has announced limited general availability of Torin, a Trino-based engine for Starburst Enterprise that executes SQL natively on NVIDIA GPUs using cuDF. Torin complements the existing CPU engine without requiring changes to Trino SQL, applications, agents, or governance controls. Starburst reports up to sevenfold faster performance in its TPC-H testing and 3.4 times the ClickBench throughput of a CPU baseline at similar hourly hardware cost; the vendor-run, single-node development benchmarks exclude software licensing and do not guarantee production results.

Four layers of memory—company, agent, user, and agent-user—combine common business definitions with personalized interactions, while ThoughtSpot’s governed semantic layer keeps agents aligned with dashboard metrics.
