Microsoft and Google Announce Cloud Updates

Not to be left behind by the recent updates and improvements Amazon has made to Amazon Web Service, both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform have released cloud updates of their own. This is going to be the biggest year for cloud yet, and these giants are wasting no time getting the ball rolling.
In an article written by Maria Deutscher for siliconangle.com, Microsoft has just announced three new Azure services. The new G-Series instances where users can not have up to 32 virtual processors, 448 gigabytes of memory and 6059 terabytes of flash storage on just one server.
Microsoft also launched Docker-integrated Ubuntu images and Azure Key Vault, a data organization service, which manages alternatively to the on-premise hardware security modules that had previously handled encryption in the enterprise based on technology which was originally developed for Office 365.
Lastly, are the private cryptographic keys governing access to applications, which the user has a choice of handling in the software layer or keeping on more regulatory-friendly Thales nShield hardware modules certified up to FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and Common Criteria EAL4+. One tier up, there are small blobs of slightly less sensitive applications that can reach up to 10 kilobytes in size, while the top consists of usage logs that record encryption operations.
Microsoft Azure has released these updates in order to make themselves competitive with AWS, which it does. Holding Azure to the same standard as AWS makes them match up nicely, especially with the new improvements.
Google had the same idea as Microsoft and announced the launch of their new utility, Trace into beta. The goal of Trace is to help users make their cloud applications run more smoothly. It is also a direct response to Amazon’s CloudWatch. Trace displays high-latency requests and allows developers to check how different versions compare in responsiveness reveal potential bugs that can sometimes be introduced with new releases.
