Move to the Cloud With Help of CPM Tool

10 Essential Cloud Computing Platform Resources for Buyers

10 Essential Cloud Computing Platform Resources for BuyersAre you thinking of migrating to the cloud? Have you considered the help of a Corporate Performance Management (CPM) tool?

CPM empowers CFOs and finance teams with forecasting, budgeting, measurement, and planning capabilities. Increasingly this intersects with areas of business intelligence that watch and manage how an enterprise performs, according to an ever-widening array of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, return on investment and overhead.

I spoke with Tom Bogan, CEO of Adaptive Insights, who said the vendor’s growth and expansion over the past year is, “a testament to the value our customers realize after adopting an active planning approach for their businesses.”

He went on to say, “As more and more organizations move their infrastructure to the cloud, we are seeing a significant demand for cloud planning solutions that are simultaneously easy, powerful, and fast to use. Today, we have thousands of customers using the Adaptive Suite to engage in a truly collaborative planning process, and we are committed to ensuring that our products and services continue to meet these growing demands as our company continues to scale.”

Adaptive Insights was the only pure-play cloud vendor to be named a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Strategic Corporate Performance Management Solutions. The vendor was also named in a Forrester Wave report and the Deloitte Fast 500 Technology list for the sixth consecutive year. The company was also part of the first-ever Forbes 2016 World’s Best 100 Cloud Companies list.

According to the vendor, their Adaptive Suite “enables organizations to collaboratively plan and model, easily access real-time analytics, streamline complex reporting, and accelerate financial consolidation.”

“We’re part of the wave of SaaS applications,” Bogan told Solutions Review.

He went on to say that Adaptive’s cloud CPM solution helps businesses to manage their financial information including budgeting, reports, sales information, expenses and much more. While the management of those types of items was primarily once done with on-prem software, a survey completed by Adaptive showed items was primarily once done with on-prem software, a survey of CFOs completed by Adaptive Insights showed that 33 percent of their infrastructure is SaaS today and that number is expected to jump to 60 percent by 2020.

So on-prem software appears to be on its way out and according to Bogan, “the trend in the last several years has been to put this in cloud solutions.”

“We have a solution that provides these CPM capabilities in the cloud for organizations, and we’re serving customers from small businesses to large enterprises,” Bogan said.

Adaptive’s software aids in moving financial and operating metric information to the cloud, so if you’re thinking of making the switch, it may be time to consider a CPM tool to help.

Adaptive serves various well-known customers including Coca-Cola, HULU, Inc., New York Mets, Oakland Raiders, and more.
