Coursera and Udemy Announce a Merger Agreement
Coursera, the global online learning platform, has entered into a definitive merger agreement with Udemy, an AI-powered skills acceleration platform. The merger will unite Udemy’s skills development marketplace with the Coursera ecosystem, expanding its global value and impact. Greg Hart, CEO of Coursera, says, “By combining the highly complementary strengths of Coursera and Udemy, we will be in an even stronger position to address the global talent transformation opportunity, unlock a faster pace of innovation, and deliver valuable experiences and outcomes for our learners and customers.”
Cvent Announces its Acquisition of Goldcast
Cvent, a provider of technology for meetings, events, and hospitality, has acquired Goldcast, a video content platform designed for B2B webinars and events. The acquisition will combine Cvent’s scale with Goldcast’s AI-powered capabilities, equipping marketing teams with the resources they need to turn live event moments into on-brand video clips, summaries, and recaps. Additionally, with the integration of Goldcast into Cvent, customers will benefit from an end-to-end marketing solution that drives measurable revenue and extends the event lifecycle with easily repurposed footage for web, email, social, and sales activation.
Insightly Launches an AI-Powered Assistant
Insightly, an affordable CRM solution, has launched Copilot, a generative AI‑powered assistant designed to make CRM work simpler, faster, and more intuitive. By putting natural prompts and automation at the center of sales and marketing operations, Copilot can turn the Insightly CRM into a more conversational partner for every user. It can also help users identify data duplicates, generate personalized emails, offer follow-up suggestions, and provide real-time insights about leads, deals, and pipeline status. The tool launches with conversational task management, AI‑powered data hygiene, insight generation, and a design that’s easy for teams of all experience levels to adopt.
Pipedrive Details an Integration Available in ChatGPT
Pipedrive, a CRM for small businesses, has announced that it’s now available as an integration in ChatGPT. The integration, developed by OpenAI, enables sales professionals to interact directly with their Pipedrive data within ChatGPT. This will make it easier for them to access insights, summarize lead activity, and generate sales content, such as lead summaries or email drafts. Sean Evers, the VP of Sales at Pipedrive, says, “By bringing Pipedrive directly into their ChatGPT account, teams will be given a faster, more intuitive way to understand what’s happening in their pipeline and what actions to take next. It’s not about replacing judgment, but removing any possible friction.”
SurveyMonkey Appoints a Chief Financial Officer
SurveyMonkey, a global platform for surveys and forms, has appointed Lance Ludman as chief financial officer. In this role, Ludman will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial function, including financial strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, tax, and treasury management. Ludman has years of experience in scaling technology and software companies, having served as CFO at companies like Benevity and DreamBox Learning. Eric Johnson, Chief Executive Officer at SurveyMonkey, says Ludman’s “fresh perspective is exactly the kind of financial and strategic leadership we need as we continue to serve our customers and advance our leading position in the market.”
