Clearlake Capital-backed Precisely recently announced that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Master Data Management and process automation software provider Winshuttle from Symphony Technology Group. Similar to its May acquisition of data governance firm Infogix, terms of the deal were not disclosed, but this merger marks Precisely’s second major buy of 2021.
Precisely’s solution portfolio is broken into five distinct categories based on the use case. Integrate is its data integration line that features Precisely Connect, Ironstream, Assure, and Syncsort. The Verify unit of data quality tools includes Precisely Spectrum Quality, Spectrum Context, and Trillium. The location intelligence line (Locate) touts Precisely Spectrum Spatial, Spectrum Geocoding, and MapInfo, while Enrich features Precisely Streets, Boundaries, Points Of Interest, Addresses, and Demographics. There’s also Precisely Engage on the company’s Engage unit.
Winshuttle EnterWorks is a multi-domain MDM and PIM platform that lets enterprise organizations get data to the systems and channels that matter most. Featured platform capabilities include Product Information Management for creating, managing, and sharing differentiated product data, Digital Asset Management for storing and sharing digital assets, and MDM for creating a single, governed source of data truth across systems. The flexible data modeling architecture powers a content repository with data attributes for managing complex product relationships and real-time phased pricing management.
In a media statement on the news, Precisely CEO Josh Rogers said: “Process automation is essential in delivering higher quality data so companies can be confident in their business decisions. Adding Winshuttle’s process automation and master data management software, with its deep expertise in SAP environments, will enable Precisely to extend our portfolio of differentiated solutions and further our customers’ journeys to achieving data integrity.”
