Collibra Adds New Data Access Features to its Data Inteligence Cloud

Collibra recently announced an update to Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud, according to a press release on the company’s website. The release is highlighted by capabilities that improve access to critical data, and are designed to help users easily find, access, and understand data in more places. Collibra is also launching the Collibra Trust Center, a new module that enables customers to monitor the status of their deployment and find information related to security, compliance, and reliability. Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud was launched in June.

The Collibra Platform is made up of five distinct solutions. Headlined by an enterprise data catalog called Collibra Catalog, the platform also includes Collibra Governance, Collibra Privacy & Risk, Collibra Lineage, and now Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud. Collibra documents an organization’s technical metadata and how it is used. It describes the structure of a piece of data, its relationship to other data, and its origin, format, and use. The solution serves as a searchable repository for users who need to understand how and where data is stored and how it can be used.

The updated version of Collibra Intelligence Cloud touts a new Power BI integration, an enhanced user experience, and navigation on the web via a new context-aware search technology called Contextual Search. Collibra Everywhere for Desktop has also been redesigned with branding that is simpler and more intuitive. The new Collibra Everywhere for Mobile app applies all of the same branding enhancements as the desktop app in a way that is optimized for mobile. Collibra is launching new connectors for Workday as well.

In a media statement about the news, Collibra’s Chief Product Officer Jim Cushman said: “The Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud is a one-stop-shop that connects people with the data they need, when they need it. Digital transformation is critical in today’s business environment, and these new enhancements to our unique, platform approach will make organizations more agile by streamlining processes and enabling improved collaboration.”
