ECI Software Solutions Announces Acquisition of BuildTools

ECI Software Solutions recently announced that it has acquired BuildTools, a web-based construction management platform for custom builders and remodelers. With this acquisition, ECI will reach a new customer market: smaller custom builders and home remodelers. To help accelerate BuildTools’ global growth, ECI plans on making investments in the platform’s development, go-to-market, and customer success strategies.

ECi Software Solutions provides business and e-commerce solutions, offering on-premise and cloud-based technologies. For more than 20 years, ECi Software has served the manufacturing, office supplies, service technology, contract office furniture, lumber and building materials, hardware and jan/san sectors. With small and medium sized organizations in mind, ECi offers: Macola ERP for manufacturers and distributors, JobBOSS for shop management, MAX ERP for discrete manufacturers, and M1, a powerful all-in-one ERP for manufacturers.

The BuildTools platform is a business management system that meets the unique requirements of small volume custom home builders and their clients — from project management, scheduling, document storage, and budget tracking, to customer service and management capabilities. BuildTools will become part of ECI’s Residential Hoem Construction Group.
