How long does it take to build a Native App

How long does it take to build a Native AppA survey by Kinvey and the research firm AYTM of one hundred iOS and Android developers has found that it takes 18 weeks to launch v1 of a native mobile app.

Broken down a little further, the survey found that on average it took about 10 weeks to complete the back end work and then 8 weeks to finish off  the front end. Broken down even more, Kinvey has created a visual representation of each step of the development process along with the average amount of time for each step.

Some interesting comparisons are also included, like that in the same amount of time Apollo 11 could have gone to the moon 40 times.

Conveniently, Kinvey just so happens to present a solution to reduce development time on the back end if 10 weeks.

To reduce front end development time, you should seriously consider one of the Mobile Application Development Platforms listed in the Solutions Review Buyer’s Guide here.
