Tines Debuts Channel Program To Drive Security Automation With More Partners

IT and security workflow automation vendor Tines unveiled its first formal partner program this week as the company seeks to accelerate its growth with the channel and recruit more reseller and MSSP partners. “We want to extend the number of partners as a result of this partner program launch,” Tines CRO Terry Tripp said in an interview. “We also really want to deepen the relationship with our existing partners.” Tines doubled the total number of partners in its community in 2023, to 200, and expects the channel to become even more of a “critical component of our growth” going forward, he said. The company saw 35-percent of its net new revenue sourced by partners last year, and “I anticipate that number increasing in this upcoming year and beyond,” Tripp said.

Perception Point Research: “Microsoft Two-Step Phishing Campaign Targets LinkedIn Users”

For threat actors aiming to compromise a business, LinkedIn serves as an ideal platform for both harvesting business-related email addresses for reconnaissance purposes and a vector for delivering the attacks. LinkedIn users get targeted with HR scams and malicious job offers loaded with malware, those attacks are usually delivered via avatars, fake digital personas or identities, created and nurtured by attackers to appear like real users. The recent discovery by Perception Point highlights a new LinkedIn threat, one that combines breached users’ accounts and an evasive 2-step phishing attack.
