International enterprise software leader SAP has released a new version of their mobile development platform for enterprise development. The SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 offers an improved collection of platform services, open standards-based architecture, and a “bring-your-own-tools (BYOT) strategy.
One of the highlights of the enhanced SAP Mobile Platform is that it integrates the primary mobile application solutions from SAP to offer a flexible platform. This improved platform has the ability to handle mobile requirements including: building, deploying, designing, scaling, and testing any application for any user. The platform still provides the main components that run in mobile apps including couponing, loyalty and mobile banking, and geolocation.
The SAP HANA Cloud Platform is the cloud version of the SAP Mobile Platform 3.0. The HANA Cloud is an open, standards-based platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that allows customers the ability to build and deploy custom apps in SAP data centers worldwide. This cloud platform provides customers with rapid deployment of packaged, highly scalable native and hybrid apps on Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8. HANA Cloud Platform users also have access to services such as: analytics, integration, security, and SAP HANA.
