IT news and analysis outlet CRN recently released its 20 Coolest Risk, Threat Intelligence, And SIEM Companies Of 2021 as part of its Security 100. This list of 100 vendors aims to distinguish key vendors – “where to place your bets” – in what CRN describes as a crowded market. The vendors are selected through criteria including significant security product innovations and market movements.
Concerning the SIEM market, CRN notes “advancements have been focused on helping companies interpret data and guide decisions for event detection as well as identify potential breaches and threats dwelling in unexpected spaces. The need for continuous monitoring and incident response, adhering to compliance requirements, and managing and retaining logs are driving demand for security operations.”
Indeed, the SIEM market seems to continually adapt to a threat landscape befitting detection and response rather than prevention; in part, this stems from the ultimate impossibility of true prevention as enterprise IT environments continue to expand and decentralize. Visibility takes ever greater importance and prominence as well, as businesses struggle to keep all databases under control.
CRN also mentions that private equity acquisitions continue to fuel interest and growth in the market.
The 20 Coolest Risk, Threat Intelligence And SIEM Companies Of 2021 in CRN’s Security 100 include AT&T Cybersecurity, BitSight, BlueVoyant, Devo, Exabeam, FireEye, Huntress, IBM, KnowBe4, LogRhythm, Rapid7, Recorded Future, RSA Security, Secureworks, ServiceNow, Splunk, Sumo Logic, Tenable, Venafi, and ZeroFox.
