Object First Announces New Partnership with Prodatix

Object First, a data security and storage solutions provider, announced its partnership with Prodatix, a Veeam Certified Architect company specializing in data management, to offer Object First’s Ootbi platform as their primary backup storage solution for Veeam. Ootbi delivers “secure, simple, and powerful” backup storage that follows Zero Trust best practices for improved security and ransomware resilience. “Ootbi by Object First made the most sense for us as we know the market needs immutable primary storage, but we did not want to get into that business of building complex, large capacity immutable appliances,” said Matt Bullock, VP of Technical Sales, Prodatix. “Ootbi makes immutable storage simple, and since it’s optimized specifically for Veeam, we were excited by the simplicity of deployment and management and the power of the backup and recovery speeds.”

Entrust Introduces “Post Quantum Ready” PKI Platform

Entrust, an identity and data security solutions provider, has announced the general availability of its Post-Quantum Ready PKI-as-a-Service (PKIaaS PQ) platform. With this launch, the company’s cloud-based PKI as a Service offering now can provide both composite and pure quantum-safe certificate authority hierarchies, enabling customers to test or implement quantum-safe scenarios and infrastructure. This makes it potentially the first commercially available platform of its type.

LoanDepot Takes Systems Offline Following Ransomware Attack

Mortgage and non-mortgage lending firm LoanDepot has fallen victim to a ransomware attack that resulted in system disruptions. The Irvine, California-based nonbank holding company also said that it immediately took steps to contain the incident, launched an investigation into the matter, and started notifying regulators and law enforcement.

Orca Security Appoints Raf Chiodo as Chief Revenue Officer

Orca Security, a leader in cloud security, this week announced the appointment of Raf Chiodo as chief revenue officer. In this role, Chiodo will be responsible for all revenue-generating activities, including global sales, customer success, and channel partner teams, to manage the market demand for the company’s industry-leading cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP). Chiodo brings over 25 years of sales and leadership experience in the technology industry, including SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and services. He joins Orca Security from Lacework, where he was responsible for the Americas go-to-market team including strategic, enterprise, and mid-market segments and helped scale its team and revenue significantly. Prior to Lacework, Chiodo was vice president, North America Storage, Platforms and Solutions at Dell Technologies with responsibility for more than $1.5B annual revenue. Chiodo also spent over 16 years at EMC in a variety of sales and leadership positions.

QuSecure’s QuProtect Wins Quantum Computing Solution of the Year for 2023 at the CyberSecured Awards

QuSecure, Inc., a leader in post-quantum cryptography (PQC), this week announced its QuProtect solution has been recognized as the Quantum Computing Solution of the Year for 2023 at the CyberSecured Awards.
