Foundry Attacks the Problem of Cost-Effective AI
The company says Foundry Cloud Platform reduces the operational complexity of renting out GPU servers while boosting cost efficiency by up to six times, making AI development a viable option for more organizations.
Google Cloud Says Strong ROI for GenAI Early Adopters
The report is based on a survey conducted by Google Cloud and the National Research Group. The survey, which includes 2,500 business leaders from global enterprises with revenues exceeding $10 million, focuses on GenAI’s ability to impact two categories: direct financial impact and the broader business advantages gained from deploying GenAI in production.
Linux Foundation ‘Welcomes’ Open Model Initiative
Formed through a joint effort by founding organizations Invoke, CivitAI, and Comfy Org, and with widespread support from community players like Wand and Sentient Foundation, the OMI is now an official open-source foundation hosted by the Linux Foundation and will be governed by a community-led Steering Committee.

OpenAI Releases New GPT-4o Model
Intrepid users speculated that the new GPT-4o model within ChatGPT exhibited step-by-step or multi-step reasoning and more detailed explanations of its processes to the user, delivered in natural language.

Thomson Reuters Unveils CoCounsel 2.0
Functioning as an extra team member, it draws on its robust set of specialized skills to handle complex, multi-step work, helping professionals quickly pinpoint key knowledge in vast databases, thoroughly communicate sophisticated information, and complete essential work with unprecedented speed.
Workato Launches ‘Agentic’
Workato is also launching ITGenie, an IT Helpdesk application reimagined with Agentic AI, and SalesGenie, a Sales Assistant to improve sales productivity. Workato Agentic is powered by Workato’s leading orchestration platform where customers can connect to over 8,500 applications, databases, ERPs, and more with security and governance.
X Releases Grok-2
X users can now play around with the new Grok-2 AI model developed by fellow Elon Musk-owned xAI. The new model is integrated into the Grok AI chatbot on X for Premium or Premium+ subscribers and comes with new features like an integrated AI image generator fueled by the open-source and recently debuted FLUX.1 model.
