Apica Addresses App Testing for the MAM Lifecycle

Apica WebPerformance MAM

Apica WebPerformance MAMA provider of performance testing and monitoring services for cloud and mobile applications, Apica, has recently announced service for a critical aspect the Mobile Application Management (MAM) lifecycle. Apica’s next generation WebPerformance Monitoring(WPM) service now has extended mobile application testing functionality. With mobile device quickly becoming the main web access tool and with millions of applications being utilized on said devices the need for MAM is becoming greater by the day.

While distribution, security and access to mobile applications and their use are huge components on MAM, successfully developing and testing application performance is a major aspect of the MAM lifecycle. Apica now has the ability to measure this performance of a mobile application from over 100 locations worldwide. By testing usage scenarios, flaws and bugs in the application’s development can be uncovered, analyzed and fix prior to launch or distribution.

Apica’s Test Specialist and Lead Developer, Thomas Wiik, is quoted in a recent release as saying, “Along with the increased usage of mobile devices for web browsing and web application access the related server platform must be able to cope with the increased load. We now have the ability to record and test application calls from three of the largest mobile platforms in the market. The development of more capabilities are under way with a Windows Phone 8 release planned for the summer timeframe.” Click here to read more about the Apica announcement.
