Amazon Announces New AI Compute Cluster with Anthropic
Also on Tuesday, Amazon said it had developed Canvas for generating images from short text prompts. Jassy emphasized that Amazon would include watermarking to ensure the software is used responsibly to prevent harmful content from being spread.
AWS Unveils New Nova AI Models
Dubbed “Rainier” after the 14,000-foot peak that looms to the south of Amazon’s Seattle headquarters, the undertaking dwarfs the processing power used to build current state-of-the-art models, including Anthropic’s “Claude,” Amazon said Tuesday during its annual cloud computing conference in Las Vegas.
CDW Acquires Mission Cloud
The transaction complements CDW Digital Velocity – CDW’s cloud, data, AI and software platform engineering organization – while bolstering CDW’s existing cloud expertise, market scale and solution capabilities. Mission and CDW will come together as CDW’s dedicated AWS practice.
Couchbase Releases New Capella AI Service
This allows organizations to avoid the excess latencies and high operational costs that application developers often experience when introducing new technology components and workflows. Couchbase empowers teams to safely bring agent-based applications into production by giving developers control over data across the development lifecycle and mitigating security and privacy issues from large language models (LLMs) running outside the organization.
Digitate Finds European Firms ‘Race’ to Implement AI and Automation
The study, which surveyed 900 IT decision-makers across seven European countries, found that organizations have invested an average of €103.4M in AI and automation implementations over the last two years, with over half (59 percent) spending up to €295M. These investments are yielding significant returns, with 86 percent of organizations reporting ROI averaging €154.7M.
Informatica Unveils Blueprints for Enterprise GenAI Apps
New developments include blueprints for enterprise-grade GenAI applications and automation recipes for Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service that provides a single API to access and utilize various high-performing foundation models (FMs) from leading AI companies.

This will enable their clients to optimize costs, reduce risk, enhance user experience, address revenue leakages, and enhance upsell opportunities. LTIMindtree will help clients integrate Voicing.AI with their custom tools, knowledge bases – both structured or unstructured, CRM systems, and leading call management platforms and systems. This Agentic AI technology is fully compliant with SOC2, HIPAA, and multi-layered data security protocols.
MongoDB Set to Expand AI Applications Program
The expansion of the MongoDB AI Applications Program follows the introduction of vector quantization to MongoDB Atlas Vector Search (which reduces vector sizes while preserving performance—at lower cost), as well as new integrations with leading AI and technology companies.
NVIDIA-Backed Nebius Announces $700 Million in New Funding
The financing supports Nebius’ previously announced plans to further build out its full-stack AI infrastructure – including large-scale GPU clusters, cloud platforms and tools and services for developers – for AI pioneers globally.
poolside Partners with AWS
Amazon Bedrock is a fully-managed service that offers developers access to high-performing models from leading AI companies through a single API. As a result, enterprise customers will soon be able to customize poolside’s generative AI Assistant for software development with their own data, leveraging the security, privacy, and performance of AWS.
Red Hat Collaborates with AWS On Virtualization and AI
Red Hat OpenShift, with the inclusion of OpenShift Virtualization and migration toolkit for virtualization, allows for easier migration of VMs. The solution is designed with the cloud in mind for full automation from day one deployments and includes auto-healing and reconciliation, applied to both containers and VM workloads.
Securiti One of First to Achieve New AWS AI Security Competency Status
The AI Security & Governance solution is built into Securiti Data Command Center, a centralized platform for enabling the safe use of data+AI. Powered by a unique knowledge graph, it provides contextual insights across an organization’s data and AI assets, spanning hybrid architectures, including AWS, on-premises environments, and SaaS applications
Teradata Announces New Rapid-Start GenAI Use Cases with Bedrock
With this integration, Teradata customers gain access to a large repository of 60+ Gen AI use cases across various functions and industries to deliver exceptional customer experiences, boost employee productivity, and streamline business processes.

The shared goal of Wikimedia Deutschland and DataStax is to provide this data as an open accessible dataset of the world’s knowledge available to the Open Source AI/ML Community. One of the key technical challenges was vector embedding such a large and constantly changing dataset such that it is always up to date for developers to use.
