Amazon Set to Ewquip IBM with NVIDIA GPUs for AI
On November 13, news publication Business Insider reported that the tech titan was in talks with IBM to provide the latter access to powerful NVIDIA GPUs through Amazon Web Services, the cloud arm of Amazon. According to the report, if the deal is signed, IBM would use EC2 servers at AWS that come equipped with NVIDIA artificial intelligence chips.
AMD Announces Versal Premium Series Gen 2
These next-generation interface and memory technologies access and move data rapidly and efficiently between processors and accelerators. CXL 3.1 and LPDDR5X help unlock more memory resources faster to address the growing real-time processing and storage demands of data-intensive applications in data center, communications, test and measurement, and aerospace and defense markets.
Connecty AI Secures $1.8 Million in New Funding
Emerging from stealth today with $1.8 million in pre-seed funding, the firm has developed a context engine that tackles the inherent complexity in enterprise data. The round was led by Market One Capital, with participation from Notion Capital and data industry experts including Marcin Zukowski, co-founder of Snowflake and Maciej Zawadzinski, Founder of Piwik PRO.
CoreWeave Nabs Investments New from Cisco, Pure Storage
Last week, bitcoin mining company Core Scientific said CoreWeave had signed up for 500 megawatts worth of data center capacity in a deal that could be worth up to $8.7 billion over 12 years. In addition to Cisco and Pure, investment firms, including BlackRock and Fidelity, participated in CoreWeave’s secondary sale.
Databricks Study Finds Enterprise Infrastructure Not Yet Ready for AI
The report found the vast majority of enterprises (85 percent) are using generative AI (GenAI) in at least one function. But few (22 percent) feel confident that their current IT architecture could effectively support new AI applications moving forward.

xAI Raises Up to $6 Billion for 100,000 NVIDIA Chips
With Grok, xAI aims to directly compete with companies including ChatGPT creator OpenAI, which Musk helped start before a conflict with co-founder Sam Altman led him to depart the project in 2018. It will also be vying with Google’s Bard technology and Anthropic’s Claude chatbot.
