Apricorn Survey Finds More U.S. Organizations Learn Of Breaches Through Outside Reporting

Apricorn’s research found that 49% of U.S. respondents became involved in breach reporting because another party reported the incident, up from 12% in 2025. Among U.S. respondents, 86% identified employees as their biggest cybersecurity threat, while third parties mishandling information ranked as the leading cited breach cause at 32%. Conducted by Censuswide among 200 U.S. and 200 U.K. IT security decision-makers, the survey highlights persistent visibility and control gaps despite widespread security policies and increased encryption deployment.

Cisco And Fortanix Extend Verifiable Confidential AI To Kubernetes Workloads

Fortanix Confidential AI now supports CNCF Confidential Containers, adding attestation and controlled key release to Kubernetes workloads running inside hardware-based trusted execution environments. Within Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, the architecture verifies CPU, GPU, and software measurements before releasing decryption keys, protecting data and model weights while they are in use. Developers retain standard Kubernetes workflows, while security teams gain cryptographic evidence of runtime protections. Deployment options include SaaS, on-premises, and fully air-gapped environments for regulated and sovereign AI use cases.

DDN And Nebul Reuse Model Context Across GPU Fleets To Accelerate Sovereign Inference

European AI cloud provider Nebul is using DDN Infinia to store and reuse inference KV cache across its NVIDIA-powered GPU fleet, reducing the need to recompute previously processed context. Vendor-reported testing showed nearly tenfold faster time to first token than Nebul’s CPU-and-memory cache, 2.5 times more input tokens per second from the same GPUs, and nearly 60% lower cost per million input tokens. Stored context retains tenant and dataset controls and can be restored when workloads move between GPU servers.

Everpure Connects Governed Data Discovery With Faster Production AI Inference

Everpure has announced data-management capabilities that expose live enterprise catalogs through native MCP integration, helping agents locate relevant information and understand its sensitivity without custom API development. Privacy-first file intelligence identifies access exposure and stale shares without reading file contents, while PureKVA pre-stages context into GPU memory; Everpure claims up to 20 times faster time to first token. Originally announced September 30 with October availability planned, the updates also include an open-weight-model reference architecture designed to reduce reliance on external API tokens.
